Our Story
Marble Fox Brewing Company is a family-owned brewery located in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee. Our family has a rich history in the brewing industry that dates back to the late 1800s, when John Sr.’s great-grandfather, Johann Baptist “John” Eibl, immigrated from Germany and founded the Fox Head Brewing Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Under John Eibl’s leadership, Fox Head Brewing Company became one of the largest and most successful breweries in Milwaukee. The brewery was known for its flagship brand, Fox Head beer, which was brewed in the German lager style and became popular throughout the Midwest. Fox Head’s distinctive logo, featuring a fox’s head, was instantly recognizable and became a symbol of quality and craftsmanship. After John Eibl’s death, the brewery continued to be operated by his family until it was sold to a group of investors in 1921. Although the brewery eventually closed in 1961, the legacy of Fox Head Brewing Company lives on today.
